U-tube
The U-tube is a simple U-shaped pressure gauge used in metrology applications (see Pressure measurement), whose measurement liquid is typically water or a higher-density liquid such as mercury. The oblique angle of one the tube's legs also enables very small pressures to be measured
(micromanometer).
