We use the sand moulding process to produce prototypes and individual components as well as small and medium batches in an efficient and cost-effective way.
Efficient production of individual components as well as small and medium batches
Our moulding shop uses the sand moulding process. This process is cost-effective and simple, allowing casting moulds to be adjusted quickly and easily.
It is particularly suited for producing prototypes, individual components, highly-complex components as well as small and medium batches.
We mainly work with furan resin-bonded sand, which is a mixture of silica sand, furan resin binder and hardeners. Our machine moulding units enable small batches to be produced efficiently. For individual components we use a hand moulding process, meeting your requirements at low fixed costs.
We employ medium-sized moulding systems, such as fast-loop systems, and hand moulding with different moulding box sizes. This enables us to produce small batches and individual components weighing up to 4000 kg in an economical and efficient way.
Sustainably re-using moulding sand
The casting process not only produces cast components; it also leaves behind a lot of unused sand. To re-use this sand we apply thermal sand regeneration. This saves on raw materials and prevents expensive disposal costs without impairing on the quality. It is both environmentally friendly and economical.

In the fettling shop we remove all sand residues from the unfinished cast components and smoothen the surfaces. Annealing enhances the material properties.
We tightly monitor and optimise every batch and offer certificates for mechanical testing, intergranular corrosion/Huey test and structural examinations.
