Summary of Job description

  1. Responsible for approving Suppliers’ QCPs for Motors & Instrumentations like (PG, TG , PT , TT, Junction Box), Control Panels, MPU, VFD, Cables etc.
  2. Review supplier test certificates for above electricals and instrumentations. Ensure dossier as per customer specific requirements and educate suppliers on related KSB expectations.
  3. Co-ordinate inspection calls as per customer needs - organize TPI, get compliance on punch points, issue IRN and share copy of IRN to Purchase and CM.
  4. Facilitate GRN clearance, train and educate receipt inspection regarding scope of supply and check points.
  5. Plan and conduct Suppliers SQIP audits and supplier assessment audits on need basis for existing and new suppliers and validate further corrective and systemic actions at supplier end.
  6. Handle non-conforming products as per the KSB norms and facilitate trouble shooting in coordination with suppliers as needed.
  7. Responsible for defect recording through Q notifications, monitor corrective and preventive actions and closure of Q- notifications.
  8. Monitor performance of electricals, electronics and instrumentation suppliers regularly and communicate with them frequently.
  9. Responsible for updating Material master and Inspection plan assignment in SAP-QM for Quality management views.
  10. Participate in new product development trials.

Qualification and experience

DME (Electrical) with 8-12 years of experience / B.E. (Electrical) with 5-8 years of experience 

Knowledge / skills required

  • Preferably certified Auditor for IMS – QMS / EMS / OH&S
  • Hands on SAP – QM Module 
  • Preferable NDT Level II qualification in VT
  • Knowledge and inquisitiveness of National / International code / standards
