KSB sells US valves company
The pump and valve manufacturer has divested the business activities of its subsidiary KSB AMRI, Inc. with effect from 31 January 2017.
The pump and valve manufacturer has divested the business activities of its subsidiary KSB AMRI, Inc. with effect from 31 January 2017. Located in Houston, Texas, the US company produces shut-off butterfly valves and actuators. The products are above all used for chlorine production in the chemical industry. With a workforce of 33, KSB AMRI, Inc. generated sales revenue of € 9.5 million in 2015.
Within the scope of the acquisition, Bray International, Inc. took over the production site and employees, as well as the ACRIS and AMRESIST brands. In addition, KSB and Bray concluded a sales and supply cooperation agreement.
Selling KSB AMRI, Inc. is part of an initiative intended to strengthen KSB’s market position. In this context, the Group aims to simplify its organisational structure with currently more than 100 companies and streamline the product portfolio.
