Pump Technician Sint-Gillis-Waas
To strengthen our team in Sint-Gillis-Waas, we are looking for two motivated pump technicians to serve our customers.
Job description
As a pump technician, you are our business card in the field.
You will leave from home or the workshop with your service car to customers, where you will carry out inspections, maintenance and/or overhauls on pumps. If necessary, you will have to dismantle the pump alone or with a colleague and prepare it for transport.
As you will be working for an OEM, it is normal that you will take on new pumps for our customers.
In our workshop in Sint-Gillis-Waas, you will be responsible for overhauling pumps. This involves dismantling these pumps and cleaning/inspection of connecting parts. After cleaning, you analyse the damage and measure the parts using measuring tools (caliper, micrometer...). You designate the necessary parts on a sectional drawing/piece list and further complete the technician's report. When assembling the pumps, you use OEM parts supplied by our workshop. During assembly, you will balance the rotor followed by complete assembly, finishing and ready for shipment.
It is possible that, after the overhaul in our workshop, you will have to reinstall the pump at the customer's site, during which you will carry out an alignment and, if necessary, the commissioning of the pump in the installation.
No fear if there is anything above that you cannot yet do. You will be supported by colleagues and our workshop manager.
Required profile
- In possession of a degree in mechanical/electromechanical engineering or equivalent through experience
- You are trained in basic VCA
- You are handy and can handle measuring tools (caliper, micrometer...) and machines such as column drill, lathe, grinder, etc.
- Independent, team player, problem solver
- Customer-oriented, eager to learn, result-oriented and efficient
- In possession of a driving licence B
