Pulp and paper factory

Pulp production and paper production

The paper and pulp industry at its best – with pumps from KSB

In particular for secondary processes associated with paper production and the pulp industry, such as the supply of heat, KSB offers a wide range of products and many years of know-how.

Special situations need special solutions

The paper and pulp industry is currently facing many challenges: globalisation is increasing competition and digitalisation is driving down the use of paper as a medium. Added to this are rising energy costs and stricter safety requirements.

To master these challenges, solutions are needed that can reduce operating costs – while simultaneously increasing productivity, energy efficiency and operating reliability.

Our solutions for paper production and pulp production

KSB offers an extensive product portfolio in particular for the secondary processes involved in the paper and pulp industry. One of the most important applications in pulp production is the heating of rollers since pressure, temperature and residence time play a crucial role in the quality and consistency of the end product.

Here and also for heating dryer systems, robust and high-efficiency thermal oil pumps are used, for example Etanorm SYT. The steam needed for steeping and boiling is generated in steam boilers using boiler feed pumps such as Movitec or Multitec.
Depending on the size of the systems, HG or HGM boiler feed pumps are used.

Know-how makes all the difference in paper and pulp production

When it comes to paper production and pulp production, as a system provider with decades of experience, KSB is able to draw on extensive expertise in the area of special process pumps that play an important supporting role. KSB offers the very highest of safety standards – on request with mechanical seals in tandem arrangement, leakage sensor and specially adapted hydraulic systems featuring the highest levels of efficiency. As an additional option, an intelligent variable speed system can be fitted to minimise energy costs.

With KSB, you not only benefit from comprehensive know-how and systems perfectly designed to suit your applications and requirements, you also have an international service network that can quickly provide you with support whenever you need it.
