In 2017, the descendant of KSB’s founding family passed away at the age of 92. He shaped the development of the company for over 50 years in various leading positions.

During their assignments around the world, KSB service engineers have shown a great deal of flexibility. Only when it comes to food are they unwilling to compromise – for example in Libya in 1980.

In 1959, KSB founded a sales company in South Africa. Today, the Group operates a production facility in Johannesburg that supplies the entire African continent.

Otto Klein-Kühborth succeeded Jacob Klein on the Board of Management of KSB in 1931. Holding a doctorate in law and politics, he shaped the history of the company over many decades.

In 1959, KSB founded its first Asian subsidiary in Lahore, Pakistan – eight sales offices and a foundry soon followed.
