Return guide vane
The return guide vanes of a multistage radial pump (e.g. boiler feed pump) form a guiding device downstream of the diffuser. The flow is guided radially inwards so that the approach flow of the fluid handled to the next stage is as vortex-free as possible (see Inlet conditions).
