The minimum flow lift check valve of the SSV type series is a pump protection valve designed to automatically protect centrifugal pumps, especially those handling hot water, against dry running or part load operation, which can lead to wear, complete failure and damage. As soon as the flow rate of the main flow falls below a defined value, the valve opens the minimum flow line far enough for the required minimum flow to be re-routed, even when the flow rate of the main flow is zero. The pressure of the minimum flow is reduced by the integrated throttling distance with lift check valve in the minimum flow line.
