New Hydraulically Driven Mobile Flood Control Pumps
Frankenthal, November 2026 – With its hydraulically driven mobile submersible motor pump of the ISP type series, PT KSB Indonesia is offering a complete system specially developed for mobile use in flooded areas.
This technology not only allows for a very compact system design; it also makes the system highly reliable under extreme conditions, as electrical motors do not drive the pumps. Hydraulic motors are much lighter compared with electrical motors and offering better mobility due to their weight. Thanks to the hydraulic drive concept employed, two pumps can be driven by a single hydraulic drive unit. This is a decisive advantage when large volumes of floodwater need to be pumped in a quick and continuous manner.
The system, that is available with various power ratings, reaches flow rates of up to 1000 litres per second at a head of at least six metres. In dual configuration, the flow rate can even be doubled.
The ISP type series has been designed for immediate use: It is available pre-mounted on a trailer or truck and ready for operation within minutes. An integrated jib crane makes handling and setting up at the site easy. The robust design with corrosion-resistant materials, such as stainless steel, and impellers suitable for floodwater pumping ensure reliable pumping. Suction strainers limit the size of solids to a maximum of 40 mm.
The pumps are delivered pre-set to the required duty point. The mobile all-in solution reduces the need for additional equipment as it includes components such as discharge hose systems and housing.
Optionally, the pumps can also be operated from a pontoon as well as with floaters. Maintenance expenses are low thanks to the product's high quality. The local production site in Indonesia can quickly adapt the system to customer-specific requirements, with quality assurance provided by local testing facilities.
With the ISP type series, the KSB Group offers a technically advanced solution of mobile flood pumps that are characterised by their high flow rates, flexible use and immediate readiness for operation in flood control and urban water management.
