The KSB GIW, Inc. IoT and Automation Lab provides a dedicated environment and resources for exploring innovative technologies that enhance operational decision-making for slurry pump operators. The lab focuses on solutions such as GIW® RAMSL and GIW® SLYsight, which support pump maintenance through automated mechanical adjustments and real-time performance monitoring.
GIW® RAMSL
RAMSL (Remotely Adjusted Mechanical Suction Liner) is a system that allows operators to make remote nose clearance adjustments down to approximately a quarter of a millimeter. This simplified adjustment process significantly reduces the time and manpower needed to complete nose gap adjustments, while improving consistency and repeatability.
GIW® SLYsight
SLYsight is an advanced wear monitoring system designed to revolutionize slurry pump maintenance. By using strategically placed sensors, SLYsight provides critical data on key pump parts by measuring thicknesses, wear patterns, and internal clearances. This data empowers operators to make informed decisions regarding planned shutdowns and helps extend equipment life.
