In 1988, KSB acquired KSB GIW, Inc. in Grovetown, Georgia (USA) in 1988. This heralded their entry to the global mining industry making them the leading provider of slurry pumps and parts to the hard rock, mineral mining and dredging marketing, which is now the KSB Mining division. This production facility provides process and non-process pumps and systems to the mining market.
