Mr. Ramasubramanian S
Dear KSBians,
As I reflect on my journey with KSB, I am filled with immense gratitude for the opportunities, guidance, and support that have shaped both my professional and personal life.
I am truly proud to be part of KSB, an organisation driven by strong values and a culture of excellence. Throughout my journey, KSB has provided me with opportunities to work across diverse segments and projects, enriching my knowledge, strengthening my skills, and consistently keeping me motivated.
My career with KSB began in 1991, where I spent eight years in the Stores department. During this period, I had the opportunity to work closely with the EDP team during the transition from manual, paper-based processes to the ISP system. This experience helped me understand how systems function and how to effectively extract and utilise data to meet business requirements.
In 1999, KSB management extended their trust and support, giving a significant lift to my career by offering me the opportunity to move into the Purchase Department. There, I had the privilege of handling a wide range of areas, including sand castings, bought-out items, indirect materials, assets, imports, and valves for the trading plant. This exposure enabled me to gain experience across almost all segments of the purchasing function.
KSB further provided me with an excellent platform to enhance my skills through SAP implementation initiatives. I am deeply grateful for the opportunity to learn, adapt, and contribute as a core team member in the MM module:
• SAP Release 1 – IPD & PPD plants
• SAP Release 2 – CBE plant
• SAP Release 3 – KSB Foundry
I am also proud to have contributed as a team member to several iconic and innovative initiatives at the Coimbatore division, including the third-party e-auction process for purchase and scrap disposal, the Valves Learning Centre, the Roof Solar project, the Robotic Laser Welding Machine, and memorable CSR projects.
In 2024, KSB once again entrusted me with a major opportunity through the BIG.2G – S/4HANA project, where I represent KSB India in the Source-to-Pay stream and currently serve as a member of the SAP Excellence Centre (SEC).
Having spent almost my entire professional career with KSB, I have not only witnessed but also been a part of KSB’s growth and success story. I am proud to say that I have been able to leave a few footprints in this remarkable journey, and I truly cherish my identity as a KSBian.
At this juncture, I sincerely thank KSB Management and all my colleagues—past and present—for their support, encouragement, and trust. I remain grateful for the opportunities provided and wish the organisation continued success and many more inspiring stories ahead.
I would like to conclude by sharing a quote from Dr. A. P. J. Abdul Kalam that resonates deeply with my journey:
“If you want to shine like a sun, first burn like a sun.”
