Mr. Piyush Ambhore

What sets KSB apart is not only its engineering excellence and robust systems, but also its exceptional culture — one that empowers individuals, nurtures talent, and fosters long-term careers.

For any mechanical engineer, earning a position in a globally respected German multinational like KSB is not just a career milestone — it’s a dream realized. That dream came true for me in 2008, when I joined KSB Ltd. as a Graduate Engineer Trainee at the prestigious Power Projects Division (PPD) in Chinchwad. What began as a fresh start in the Competence Centre has grown into a remarkable 15-year journey of learning, transformation, and deep-rooted purpose.

PPD, known for delivering high-pressure engineered pumps to critical domestic and international projects, became my training ground. Early responsibilities in order execution allowed me to absorb not just technical know-how, but also cultivate valuable relationships across the plant, with customers, and with global counterparts. This foundation paved the path for my professional evolution within KSB’s dynamic ecosystem.
What sets KSB apart is not only its engineering excellence and robust systems, but also its exceptional culture — one that empowers individuals, nurtures talent, and fosters long-term careers. I embraced every opportunity to contribute and grow — from executing high-stakes project orders to exploring application engineering (TSS) across diverse sectors such as energy, petrochemicals, defence, export projects, and eventually nuclear power.
Today, as a Manager in the TSS Nuclear Pumps Business, I carry forward the responsibility and pride of representing KSB in one of the most critical segments of national interest.
One of the defining moments in this journey was the COVID-19 pandemic. While the world grappled with uncertainty, KSB stood by us — not just as an employer, but as a pillar of strength. I vividly remember working in TSS Energy Exports on a major international tender for boiler feed and condensate pumps during the peak of the crisis. Despite lockdowns and fear, we won and processed the order. This was possible only due to the unwavering support and foresight of KSB’s leadership — from enabling work-from-home infrastructure to prioritizing employee health and vaccination.
Today, with India’s vision to expand its nuclear energy footprint, KSB stands at the forefront of this national transformation. And I am proud to say — we are not just delivering nuclear-qualified pumps; we are powering progress, with precision and purpose. It’s always a proud and humbling moment when you find yourself securing and booking a single order worth ₹5 billion or ₹2.6 billion (INR) — numbers that reflect the trust our customers place in us and the critical role we play in building the future.
To conclude, every day begins with my first family. However, for the rest of the day, I am with my second family — that’s you!
