A Journey of Growth, Leadership, and Innovation: My 24-Year Experience with KSB-WPD
Reflecting on my 24-year career with KSB-WPD, I am filled with immense gratitude for the opportunities and support that have shaped both my professional and personal life. My journey began in 2001 when I joined as a supervisor in the machine shop. At that time, I could never have imagined that this role would be the foundation of a career path that has led me to my current position as Assistant General Manager (AGM) of Operations.
From the beginning, KSB encouraged a culture of growth, which allowed me to advance through various roles, including overseeing Operative Quality Management, leading the Product Development Department, and managing Operations. Each of these roles equipped me with valuable skills and perspectives, contributing to the company’s success.
KSB has always supported my development, with the encouragement from senior management. I was fortunate to gain international experience, contributing to key projects like new product launches and inspecting advanced machinery. These opportunities allowed me to enhance productivity, improve sales, and raise quality standards within the company.
A major highlight of my career has been my involvement in KSB-WPD’s lean manufacturing journey. I played a pivotal role in the implementation of over 200 lean projects, transforming our production processes into one of the most advanced in the industry. Additionally, the introduction of the MOST (Maynard Operation Sequence Technique) system resulted in a 30-40% increase in productivity, reinforcing our commitment to continuous improvement and innovation.
KSB-WPD has always empowered its employees, and I’ve been proud to serve on the workmen negotiation committee. This responsibility allowed me to ensure the workforce’s voice was considered in decision-making processes.
KSB is not just a workplace; it's a community that values cultural and sports activities. These activities have been a cornerstone of my journey here, shaping me in ways I never imagined.
KSB's emphasis on sports has also been transformative. Participating in various sports events, from cricket matches to chess tournaments, has not only kept me physically active but also taught me valuable life lessons. The spirit of competition, the joy of victory, and the resilience in the face of defeat have all contributed to my personal growth. These events have instilled a sense of discipline and teamwork, which I carry into my daily life. Beyond sports, KSB's cultural activities have enriched my life. Celebrating festivals, participating in fun fair, trekking and engaging in community service have broadened my horizons. These events have allowed me to connect with colleagues on a deeper level, understanding and appreciating diverse cultures and traditions. The sense of belonging and unity within the KSB community is truly special.
Through the cultural and sports activities, I have experienced significant personal growth. I have become more confident, resilient, and open-minded. The friendships forged during these events have become lifelong connections, providing support and encouragement both inside and outside the workplace.
