Shanghai Electric-KSB Nuclear Pumps & Valves Co., Ltd. (SEC-KSB) is a joint venture established by SEC and KSB AG in September 2008, with a share ratio of 55 % (SEC) / 45 % (KSB).
It is mainly engaged in business of pumps and valves used for nuclear power stations, including design, manufacturing, and after-sales services of Nuclear Class I pumps and Nuclear Class II & III pumps and valves, as well as pumps and valves for conventional islands.
SEC-KSB covers an area of 50,000m2. It comprises two phases: the Phase I is a union workshop with an area of 28,000 m2, which was completed in August 2010 and put into operation in the end of 2011, including office building, machining, assembly and testing workshop for Class II and III pumps. The Phase II covers an area of 22,000 m2, consisting of an RCP assembly workshop and a full load test loop for RCPs. Its construction started at the end of 2011, finished at the end of 2013. And it was put into operation at the early of 2014. The loop can test seal RCPs of G2, G2+, Hualong HPR, as well as sealless RCPs for G3 AP/CAP series in simulated operational conditions of NNP. It has been certified by TÜV as China’s first RCP test loop.
SEC-KSB has manufactured and delivered over 200 sets of nuclear and non-nuclear pumps and valves since it was put into operation in the end of 2011, including 4 RCPs for Changjiang NPP. Meanwhile, it provides site services for all nuclear pumps of KSB AG in China.
It is designing and manufacturing residual heat removal pumps, charging pumps and low pressure injection pumps/safety containment spray pumps for China’s first reactors with Hualong HPR design - Fuqing Units 5&6, and is developing 50HZ RUV for CAP1400 reactors, as well as RCPs and other nuclear pumps for HPR, SMR and FBR.
