With the UPA S 200 and UPA S 250 well pumps, KSB offers two powerful and highly efficient units for well diameters from 8 or 10 inches. Both models are available in numerous designs with a range of options – offering you the perfect variant to match your requirements.

The models from the UPA pump range are mainly used for drinking water and general water supply, general irrigation / spray irrigation, groundwater management, offshore applications and pressure boosting. Alongside their exceptionally low energy requirements, these pumps impress with outstanding operating reliability, durability and a long motor life:

The UPA S 200/250 well pumps are available in various designs and sizes. And our additional options extend their fields of application to cover environments previously unsuitable for well pumps.

Option 1: Cooling shroud

For operation at higher water temperatures or in cases of insufficient flow around the pump set, e.g. installation in open water. The cooling shroud generates a flow of water along the motor surface, ensuring reliable and efficient motor cooling. Suitable for vertical and horizontal installation; a suction strainer is optionally available.

Option 2: Pressure shroud

For installation in a piping system, e.g. as an alternative to dry-installed pumps. Benefits: The system is maintenance-free (no rolling element bearings), flood-proof (no failure in the event of flooding) and environmentally friendly (no lubricants required), and has a low noise level (no direct sound transmission to the air). Suitable for vertical and horizontal installation

Option 3: Suction shroud

The suction shroud shifts the suction point further down and is required when the pump is installed at a low immersion depth and/or when the water level drops sharply during operation. The suction shroud prevents the formation of surface vortices and prevents the pump from drawing in air. Allows temporary operation at lowered water level.

Option 4: Suction shroud with lift check valve

Installation at a low immersion depth with pump set never fully submerged. The additional lift check valve prevents the piping from being drained and enables continuous operation at a lowered water level and reliable re-start after standstill.
