KSB to Open Expanded Richmond-Area Facility
KSB, Inc. will officially open its expanded facility in Henrico County, just outside Richmond, on Tuesday, Nov. 10, completing a $25 million investment that centralizes KSB's inventory, assembly, service and support for customers across North America.
More KSB, right here in the USA: stock, assembly and service for North American customers, together in one hub
RICHMOND, VA — KSB, Inc. will officially open its expanded facility in Henrico County, just outside Richmond, on Tuesday, Nov. 10, completing a $25 million investment that centralizes KSB's inventory, assembly, service and support for customers across North America.
The expansion is built around one idea: more KSB, right here in the USA. For the utilities, contractors and industrial plants responsible for keeping critical systems running, it puts the parts, service and support behind KSB engineering close at hand when uptime is on the line.
The facility now keeps KSB's most-requested products on the shelf in Henrico, including Movitec multistage pumps, and distribution partners can order them through KSBX, the company's online quoting and ordering portal. Kardex automated storage systems hold and retrieve the parts. Under the same roof, KSB teams assemble, test, service and monitor equipment before it ships to customers across North America.
“Henrico is an important milestone in our strategy to grow and strengthen our business in North America, with a clear focus on local presence and responsiveness to our customers’ needs,” said Dr. Stephan Timmermann, chief executive officer, KSB Group. “This site brings together more of KSB’s products and services to better serve customers across the region. With our great local team working closely with colleagues around the world, I am confident that we can deliver exceptional value to our customers in the U.S. market.”
“More KSB, right here in the USA. That is what this building means for our partners and customers,” said Luis Maturana, president and managing director, KSB, Inc. “With stock, assembly and service in one place, customers can choose KSB engineering knowing the support behind it is close by. This expansion strengthens our footprint across North America, and it is built on our long partnership with Henrico County and the Commonwealth of Virginia.”
Built for the Long Term
KSB and Richmond-based general contractor Hourigan began construction in January 2025 and reached substantial completion on Aug. 12, 2026, delivering the project safely, on schedule and on budget. Employees moved into the finished space five days later.
The expansion adds warehouse capacity, including the multi-story Kardex automated storage, along with assembly and workshop areas, room for KSB SupremeServ maintenance and repair work, and new offices. The campus also has a rooftop solar array that provides 50% of the campus's power needs, electric vehicle charging, and a walking path, pond and outdoor seating for employees.
“From day one, KSB's team treated this as a true partnership,” said Michael Henley, president, Hourigan. “The result is a facility built for decades of work right here in Henrico.”
Rooted in the Richmond Region Since 1988
KSB has supplied pumps and valves worldwide since 1871 and has been headquartered in Henrico County since 1988. Its range spans pumps, valves, mechanical seals and life cycle service through KSB SupremeServ, and the expanded hub puts more of that range within reach of North American customers. The project adds mechanic, operations, supply chain, assembly, application engineering and office jobs in the Richmond region. The site's location near the Port of Virginia, major rail lines and Richmond International Airport keeps those products moving.
The expansion is part of the KSB Group's strategy to 2030, which includes growing the business in the United States. KSB planned the project with support from the Virginia Economic Development Partnership and the Henrico County Economic Development Authority.
