KSB promotes high-quality "Belt and Road" flagship project - Chikou River Project in the Philippines came to a perfect end

On June 25, 2022, Philippine President Rodrigo Duterte expressed his gratitude to the Chinese government at the completion ceremony of the Chikou River Pumping Station irrigation project, which was funded by the Chinese government. Huang Xilian, Chinese Ambassador to the Philippines, said that as one of the flagship projects of the "big build special build" plan, the project is a key infrastructure project and livelihood project promoted by the two governments, and also the 17th China-Philippines intergovernmental cooperation project completed during President Duterte's term of office.

The Chikou River pumping station, located between Fikalinga and Cagayan provinces, uses six KSB SPNNF900-1180 large-diameter vertical volute pumps with a maximum flow rate of 10,800 cubic meters per hour and a maximum lift of 29 meters. The pump is suitable for transporting industrial wastewater and urban domestic sewage, and its most outstanding advantage is that it can transport sewage containing solid particles and fiber materials. With the help of these lifting pumps, the local irrigation facilities in Chikou River will be significantly improved, which will not only make farming more convenient for farmers, but also bring benefits to the lives of local people.
