KSB Achieves New Success in Continued Trademark Protection Efforts

To safeguard the KSB brand reputation, KSB Shanghai Pump Co., Ltd. filed a lawsuit against Shanghai Kaiyu Pump Co., Ltd. at the Shanghai Fengxian District People's Court in 2024 under the Trademark Law of the People's Republic of China. On August 25, 2025, the court issued a valid civil mediation agreement. Like civil litigation judgments, civil mediation agreements carry legally binding enforcement power. The main terms of the court-mediated settlement are as follows:
  1. The defendant, Shanghai Kaiyu Pump Co., Ltd., confirmed cessation of all trademark infringement activities against the plaintiff, KSB Shanghai Pump Co., Ltd.;
  2. The defendant, Shanghai Kaiyu Pump Co., Ltd., commits to no longer infringing upon the registered trademark rights held by the plaintiff, KSB Shanghai Pump Co., Ltd.;
  3. The defendant, Shanghai Kaiyu Pump Co., Ltd., shall pay RMB 180,000 in damages to KSB Shanghai Pump Co., Ltd. and bear all litigation costs.

This case primarily involved unauthorized provision of product certificates, technical documents, product labels, and other materials bearing the "凯士比/KSB" trademark without brand authorization.
