Pattern Making

The ability to make patterns is vital to our foundry process. Once a drawing of the part is made available from engineering, the pattern work begins. Wood produced for the specific purpose of pattern making is "machined" on the equipment in our pattern shop. The pieces are assembled into the pattern which forms the outer shape of the part and the core boxes which form the inner shapes of the part. All of our patterns are made in our pattern shop. We are able to make patterns rapidly thus helping us make the finished parts faster than others in our industry. The pattern process is much the same as it was hundreds of years ago, yet we continue to integrate technology into our custom pattern making to improve part delivery and enhance quality.
