SISTO becomes a member of the „Luxembourg HealthTech Cluster“. The network means access to resources and know-how in order to improve processes and the competitiveness of the company. The membership underlines SISTOs intention to be the technical leader in diaphragm valves for sterile process engineering.

Technical Milestone

SISTO Armaturen S.A. continues to invest in modern milling and drilling technology with minimal set-up times. The Luxembourg Minister for Economic Affairs highlights the contribution of SISTO for securing jobs in Luxembourg and the high attractiveness of the company as employer.

Technical Milestones

With the introduction of the valve position indicator SK-i in stainless steel and polyamide SISTO extends its program of piston and diaphragm actuators by modern control technology.

2012

Technical Milestone

Building up competencies in non-linear FEM simulation supports the simulation of elastic deformation of elastomer elements and speeds up the development and optimisation of SISTO-diaphragms.

Company

Cooperation agreement with the University of Trier / Birkenfeld. SISTO Armaturen S.A. is the first company in Luxembourg which offers a „Duales Studium“ (vocational training accompanied by a university program).

2009

Company

SISTO Armaturen S.A. is recognized as an international player for sterile process engineering and power generating processes and receives major orders for diaphragm valves, swing check valves and drain / vent valves from Asia. Extensive documentation requirements and qualification procedures require new processes and systems, which are successfully implemented.

2007

Company

Already in 2006, SISTO Armaturen S.A. hah implemented an environmental management system according to ISO 14001. In 2007, the certification on work safety and health protection according to OHSAS 18001 follows, the certification according to DIN EN 729 is replaced by DIN EN ISO 3834 and SISTO becomes a certified welding plant according to the international norm DIN EN ISO 3834-3.

2004

Technical Milestones

The launch of a new steam test bench as well as investments into testing capacities support the development and performance improvement of diaphragms.

2003

Company

SISTO Armaturen S.A. moves into its new facility and plant at Echternach, Luxembourg. This allows the production of stainless steel components according to the most recent standards and the optimisation of internal logistics and operations.

Technical Milestones

Multi-seat valves for the pharmaceutical industry have become an important business field. SISTO is processing difficult alloys, e.g. Hastelloy, too.

SISTO Armaturen S.A. introduces diaphragm valves for sterile process engineering.

1988

Company

SAUNDERS Valve Comp. Ltd. withdraws. The group continues under the firm of SISTO Armaturen S.A. The shares of SAUNDERS are distributed amongst the remaining shareholders. KSB Aktiengesellschaft becomes majority shareholder with 52.9%, the „Société Nationale de Crédit et d'Investissement“ (SNCI) holds 47,1%.

1983

Company

FAM end their activities. SAUNDERS-SISTO Armaturen S.A. is founded, comprising three companies:

  • Saunders Valve Comp. Ltd., Cwmbran, Wales (GB) (47.0%)
  • Société Nationale de Crédit et d'Investissement (SNCI), Luxembourg (29.4%)
  • KSB Verwaltungsgesellschaft S.A., Luxembourg (23.5%)

1962

Company

The production of diaphragm valves is transferred to Mersch. The product name SISTO is introduced.

1955

Company

KSB start to manufacture diaphragm valves at the site Pegnitz.

1947

Company

Establishment of FAM (Fonderie et Atelier de Mersch) in Mersch, Luxemburg, under the management of Victor Pirsch. Start of the cooperation with KSB.
