SEC-KSB

Shanghai Electric-KSB Nuclear Pumps & Valves Co., Ltd. (SEC-KSB) is a joint venture established by SEC and KSB in September 2008, with a share ratio of 55 % (SEC) / 45 % (KSB).

SEC-KSB is mainly engaged in business of pumps and valves used for nuclear power stations, including design, manufacturing, and after-sales services of Nuclear Class I pumps and Nuclear Class II & III pumps and valves, as well as pumps and valves for conventional islands.

SEC-KSB covers an area of 50,000m2. It comprises two phases: the Phase I is a union workshop with an area of 28,000 m2, which was completed in August 2010 and put into operation in the end of 2011, including office building, machining, assembly and testing workshop for Class II and III pumps. The Phase II covers an area of 22,000 m2, consisting of an RCP assembly workshop and a full load test loop for RCPs. Its construction started at the end of 2011, finished at the end of 2013. And it was put into operation at the early of 2014. The loop can test seal type RCPs of G2+ and G3 (Hualong One/HPR1000), as well as seal less RCPs of G3 (CAP1400, AP/CAP1000) in simulated operational conditions of NPP. It has been certified by TÜV as China’s first RCP test loop.

By the end of 2022, SEC-KSB has manufactured and delivered over 250 sets of nuclear and non-nuclear pumps and valves since it was put into operation in the end of 2011, including 11 RCPs for CNP600, HPR1000, and CAP1400. Therefore, SEC-KSB is capable of supplying RCPs for the three major nuclear power corporations in China.

It has designed and supplied residual heat removal pumps, main feed water pumps, charging pumps and low pressure injection pumps/safety containment spray pumps for many domestic nuclear power plants. In addition, it has developed and manufactured 50Hz RUVs for CAP1400 reactors, and 50 Hz RSRs for HPR1000 reactors.

Meanwhile, it provides site services for all nuclear pumps of KSB AG in SE & Co KGaA.
