Rainwater pumps with a high efficiency

KSB’s rainwater pumps are available in different designs, depending on the application they are used for. For industrial applications KSB offers larger rainwater pumps with a high flow rate.
KSB’s rainwater harvesting system is particularly suitable as a domestic water supply system as it automatically switches to mains water supply when the rainwater in the storage tank has been used up. As a matter of course, drinking water and rainwater are hygienically separated at all times. With the pressure switch integrated in the rainwater pump neither an automatic control unit nor an accumulator are required.
KSB also offers wet-installed submersible motor pumps that are particularly suitable as rainwater pumps for stormwater pumping stations. They are fitted in a discharge tube and suitable for extremely large flow rates and heads.

This is how rainwater pumps work

KSB’s rainwater pumps are single-stage or multistage centrifugal pumps that transport the rainwater from a well, reservoir or storage tank. In a rainwater harvesting system for domestic water supply, the rainwater pump is the central element transporting rainwater to the piping of the house. Stormwater pumps can also be used for irrigating the garden. To prevent dry running of the pumps, rainwater pumps by KSB are fitted with an automatic switchgear system (Controlmatic E) that starts up and stops the pump, when consumer installations are opened or closed.

Rainwater pumps can be used in single and multiple dwelling buildings as well as in industry.
For private households, the efficient use of rainwater harvesting systems is advantageous, especially for irrigating the garden, flushing the toilet and using the washing machine.
