KSB has got a broad portfolio of industrial valves on offer.

KSB control valves: accurately controlling fluid processes

Control valves safely handling even the toughest of applications

Control valves from KSB are used wherever fluid processes have to be controlled safely, efficiently and reliably. Our portfolio covers the requirements of light industry through to building services applications and water transport as well as the most demanding of conditions in the oil and gas industry and power station applications. KSB’s programme includes control valves to DIN/EN and ANSI/ASME, butterfly control valves and centred-disc butterfly valves, 2-way and 3-way combining and diverting control valves, high-temperature or cryogenic valves, high-pressure globe valves, microflow valves, and matching actuators – electric, hydraulic and pneumatic – as well as control and monitoring units for all requirements.

Benefits of a KSB control valve

  • Tailored design features developed for the specific requirements of each industry
  • Long service life and high functional reliability with both design and material selected precisely for the specific application
  • Excellent manufacturing competence based on decades of industry know-how as well as in-house research and development
  • Proven expertise spanning demanding fields such as the thermal and nuclear energy, fertiliser, oil and gas, petrochemical and other core industries

Control valves in a nutshell

This is how control valves work

Control valves play a central role in controlling and regulating flow rate, pressure, temperature and other process variables. They are crucial for the efficiency, safety and reliability of processes in industry, power stations and building services.

For example, globe valves are designed for accurately controlling fluid flow in a piping system. The opening degree of the valve determines the flow cross-section and, with that, the flow rate.

Control valves are available in very different designs, which are selected for the specific requirements (e.g. pressure and temperature). Key components of these valves are their control elements responsible for the movement of the valve obturator. They can be operated pneumatically, electrically or hydraulically and enable very precise process control. Another important aspect when operating control valves are the feedback loops. In these systems the current condition of a process is continuously measured and compared to the required setpoint. Any deviations are corrected by adjusting the valve, ensuring optimum control.

KSB control valves are not only absolutely reliable, they are also tailored to your individual requirements – be it for water, petrochemical or pharmaceutical products, cryogenic or corrosive fluids. Innovative thinking, the latest technologies and our experts’ know-how make it happen.

KSB MIL control valves: robust and versatile

KSB is a renowned expert in the thermal and nuclear energy, fertiliser, oil, gas and petrochemical industries. With its range of MIL control valves it offers tailored solutions for controlling demanding processes in many fields – including nuclear and combined cycle power stations.
