Flexible Production for Diverse Project Requirements

Surface coating is an important stage in pump manufacturing, involving cleaning, drying, surface protection and painting. These processes play a key role in ensuring surface quality and meeting project-specific requirements.
Equipped with a 5T automated circulating power-and-free conveyor system, the new paint booth enables flexible switching between product types, coating processes and colour specifications. This improves production adaptability for projects involving API 610, offshore engineering, power grids and high-end chemical applications.

Enhanced Process Control Through Automation and Digitalisation

The new facility incorporates automated control across key processes, including degreasing, drying, temperature and humidity control, and paint mixing.

By integrating the Manufacturing Execution System (MES) with Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) technology, the facility also enables production process traceability, supporting product quality management and project delivery.

Supporting Sustainable Manufacturing and Better Working Conditions

The new paint booth adopts a dry-type spray painting process. Automated equipment also reduces the physical workload associated with certain operations and improves working conditions, supporting KSB Shanghai’s ongoing green factory initiatives.
