KSB Launches Locally Manufactured Marine Engine Room Pumps
On 15 October 2026, KSB officially launched its locally manufactured marine engine room pumps at a dedicated marine industry event in Shanghai. The event brought together management representatives from KSB Asia North and KSB Shanghai Pump Co., Ltd., along with more than 60 customer representatives from the marine industry.
He Jun, Executive President of KSB Asia North, opened the event with welcoming remarks. Yong Bian, Marine Pump Sales Manager at KSB Shanghai, provided an overview of KSB’s marine business and applications, while Dong Zhiqiang, Senior R&D Manager, presented the technical features and applications of the new pumps. In his closing remarks, Zhu Jiongyi, General Manager of KSB Shanghai, expressed his appreciation to the attendees and looked forward to continued collaboration with industry partners.
Designed for a Wide Range of Marine and Offshore Applications
The newly launched marine engine room pumps are designed for various applications, including engine cooling, bilge water discharge, ballast systems, firefighting, cargo hold and deck washing, brine circulation, cooling and air-conditioning systems. They can also be used for offshore applications such as firefighting, filtration, water treatment, and auxiliary and standby cooling.
To accommodate different fluids and operating conditions, the pumps are available in various material options, including bronze, stainless steel, duplex stainless steel and super duplex stainless steel. They can be equipped with standard marine IEC motors and a range of standard mechanical seal configurations to meet specific application requirements.
Featuring optimised hydraulic designs, the entire range meets the energy efficiency requirements of GB 19762-2025. The pump structures meet the relevant stress requirements of CB/T 3459-2015 (Marine Vertical Centrifugal Pumps).

Strengthening Local Manufacturing and Technical Support
KSB has established local capabilities in China covering manufacturing, sales and technical documentation, product selection and performance testing for the new pump range.
From machining and inspection to assembly and testing, key stages of production are supported locally. Technical documentation, the EasySelect selection tool and local testing facilities provide additional support for product selection and technical verification in marine projects.
The introduction of the locally manufactured marine engine room pumps further expands KSB’s portfolio for critical marine fluid-handling systems. Together with its existing solutions for alternative marine fuel systems, auxiliary ship systems and exhaust gas cleaning systems (EGCS), KSB continues to strengthen its marine product offering and local support capabilities to meet the evolving needs of China’s marine industry.
