Variable speed drive system comprising an IEC-compliant permanent magnet synchronous motor of efficiency class IE5 to IEC 60034-30-2 and a motor-integrated frequency inverter. The drive system is well ahead of the ErP Directive's efficiency requirements. It is remarkably compact in design and complies with IEC 60034 regarding the combination of rating and shaft centreline heights.
