    In March of this year, KSB Aktiengesellschaft, Frankenthal, Germany, presented a new pump series by the name of Vitastage at the Karlsruhe LOUNGES 2010.

  2. New pump monitoring unit


    KSB Aktiengesellschaft, Frankenthal, Germany, will launch a new, competitively priced pump monitoring unit early in May 2010. The product named PumpMeter comprises pressure sensors as well as an analysing and display unit attached to the pump. It measures suction pressure, discharge pressure, differential pressure and head.

  3. KSB opens second training centre in Hanover


    KSB Aktiengesellschaft has opened a second automation training centre in Hanover in order to provide training for consultants, engineering contractors and operators from northern Europe.

  4. Cooling water pumps for Saudi Arabian power station


    In March 2010, the KSB Group received an order for five giant main cooling water pumps in the million euro range. They will be supplied to the Saudi Arabian power station of Rabigh situated on the coast of the a hundred kilometres north of Jiddah. The new installation is a 1,200 MW heavy oil fuelled steam power station.

  5. KSB Group generates earnings of approx. € 173 million

    The pumps and valves manufacturer KSB generated consolidated earnings before taxes of € 172.8 million in financial year 2009 (previous year: € 200.1 million), as Dr Wolfgang Schmitt, Chairman of the Board of Management, reported at the Group’s financial press conference today in Frankenthal. Although this is below the record earnings achieved in the previous year, it does point to a significantly better performance than many comparable mechanical engineering companies. The Group achieved a 9.1 percent return on sales (previous year: 10.0 percent).

  6. Underground drinking water

    The United Nations General Assembly has declared 22 March as World Water Day. This day is dedicated to technical projects aiming to improve the drinking water supply of people all over the world. One of these projects concerns a unique water supply system on Indonesia´s Java island, which was designed by scientists at the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology and commissioned in March 2010.
