The measures taken around the world to stem the spread of coronavirus have had a variety of consequences, which everyone is feeling and which have changed all our lives – both personally and professionally.

The impact on KSB has also been profound. The early days of the COVID-19-related restrictions were dominated by the need to ensure the company’s ability to function and to protect our employees. In particular, we made use of flexible working time models and remote working. In some countries, locations were closed at short notice due to government orders. One particular challenge was to maintain the ability to deliver products and services by making full use of our Group resources, given that many of our customers are operators of systemically important infrastructure. This once again highlighted the benefits of our international technology and production network.

The situation today is that some plants are still closed or are only permitted to operate at reduced capacity. Deliveries from subsuppliers are not always assured. In addition, reduced transport capacity, especially in air and sea freight, is leading to delays in shipping. Wherever changes or delays in deliveries occur, we inform our customers promptly.
We are also as flexible in the supply of spare parts as we need to be in responding to the current situation. We can do so because we have established a close-knit global network of production locations and warehouses and have state-of-the-art 3D metal printers that enable us to produce the required spare parts in the shortest possible time.

We sincerely hope that the effects of COVID-19 have not been too severe for your businesses and you, our valued customers, partners and colleagues. We are of course always on hand to answer your questions, especially our sales and service team.
