The solids removed from the sewage in the course of treatment are rendered harmless by digestion, compostation or pasteurization and then either sintered or incinerated.
Sludge treatment includes:
- homogenization of sludges (to obtain a conveyable medium)
- sludge handling
- sludge dewatering
