...its main feature being the very special pressure exchanger solution for virtually loss-free energy recovery. Other components of the SalTec system are the well - established HGM-RO high-pressure pump in ring-section design for application pressures between 55 and 80 bar and KSB's volute casing pump type RPH in duplex stainless steel with special mechanical seal for high system pressures.
Using a pressure exchanger for energy recovery considerably reduces specific energy costs. This is because a pressure exchanger is more efficient than a turbine solution.
Our SalTec hydraulic system was extensively tested and analysed throughout 2003. Its operating reliability has been confirmed in complex FE calculations and specially constructed test stands at KSB.
