KSB inaugurates its new valve factory in China1st.Nov.2011 was a red-letter day in the history of KSB in China. The Integrated Infrastructure for manufacturing valves not only for the home market but also for export worldwide, was inaugurated in the Industrial complex of Changzhou,165 kms north-west of Shanghai.
Together with the associated warehouse for stocking as a valve distributor ,this depicts a significant step ahead in the plans.
The gathering of 180 included well wishers and business associates including 20 clients and 19 suppliers. Among the dignitaries were present Mr. Han Jiuyun, honourable deputy Mayor of the city of Changzhou , Mr. Dai Xiaowen, deputy secretary-general of Changzhou city, Mr. Xue Jiannan, deputy Director of Admin Committee of CND Hi-tech industrial Zone and Mr. Song Jianwei ,Director of business Bureau of Hi-tech industrial Zone.
From KSB, the board members Dr Buthmann & Mr. Jan Stoop together with Dr.Lee , Andreas Kessen Werner Spiegel , graced the occasion.
With 1,300 employees at five production sites for pumps and valves, seven sales offices, four agencies and two service centres, for KSB today, China is strategically one of the most important markets outside Europe . With an area of 45,000 square metres, the Changzhou site will go up progressively to 50,000 ANSI valves per year from 20000 in the first year, for the global and local energy and industry sectors .In phase 2, we plan to enlarge the activities to cover Marine and Energy markets.
