KSB Pumps sales engineer Ramin Ghasemi recently completed the requirements to be licensed as a professional engineer (P.Eng) in the Province of Ontario, further increasing the quota of professional engineers on KSB Canada’s team. 

KSB Canada’s web site (www.ksb.ca) features a new release of the global pump maker’s popular EasySelect™ online tool for selecting, configuring and even ordering pumps. The latest version of EasySelect™, which can be used in 19 languages including English and French, covers an expanded line-up of pumps for sectors like water, wastewater and industrial applications and is easier than ever to use. EasySelect™not only considers technical needs, but also economic criteria such as efficiency and energy usage.

KSB’s Sewatec series of single-stage pumps have been optimized to make life easier for operators and maintenance personnel at wastewater management facilities. Designed for dry well installations, these pumps feature double mechanical shaft seals enclosed in an oil chamber which virtually eliminates leakage of the pumped medium. The result: cleaner operations and reduced maintenance efforts.

With close to 300,000 square feet of booked space and 984 exhibiting companies WEFTEC 2010, held Oct. 2-6 in New Orleans, enjoyed its best ever participation rate. The Water Environment Federation’s (WEF) 83rd annual technical exhibition and conference, the largest water quality event in North America, attracted 17,515 water professionals from around the world – and offered KSB the opportunity to showcase its portfolio of products and services.

KSB has launched a series of service training workshops for its distributors. The first of these two-day events took place over the summer at KSB Canada’s headquarters in Mississauga. Headed by national service manager Gary Zeidler, the first hands-on workshop gave KSB partners from Atlantic Canada a detailed briefing on KSB’s diversified line of wastewater pumps that was well-received.

Billed as the world’s premier oil and gas exhibition, Global Petroleum Show 2010 in Calgary last month attracted more than 60,000 visitors from over 100 countries.
