Mississauga, ON, September, 2011 – KSB Canada – known for engineered pump solutions – has widened its offering for the municipal and wastewater sector by adding the standard AMAREX N series to its portfolio.  With more than 100,000 units sold worldwide, this family of submersible pumps ranks among KSB’s global bestsellers for wastewater applications.

The design of the AMAREX N series reflects KSB’s concern with optimizing all aspects of the pump life cycle to ensure long, trouble-free service in the most demanding wastewater applications. Starting with installation, KSB’s engineers made sure that the versatile AMAREX N pumps would be straightforward to adapt to typical wet-well mounting arrangements, whether hoop, guide wire or guide rail. Connection to the power source is simplified by special cable entry connectors which are quick to use and completely leak-proof. Once the pumps have been placed in service, generous bearings and highly effective mechanical seals ensure smooth operations and a long life. Several clog-resistant impeller designs are available to prevent blockages and reduce down-time. Meanwhile, KSB’s careful hydraulic designs improve pumping efficiency and reduce energy costs. The pump body and motor enclosure are cast as a single mono-block, which eliminates the possibility of leakage and ensures perfect alignment between pump and motor components. When overhauls are required, the use of standardized components speeds work and reduces the number of spare parts that operators need to stock.

AMAREX N pumps are available with discharge nozzle sizes ranging from 35 mm to 100 mm and pumping capacities up to 53 l/s. “These off-the-shelf pumps are designed to be workhorses for wastewater treatment”, underlines Michael Blundell, President of KSB Pumps Inc. “By stocking them in our recently expanded central warehouse for Canada, we can offer short delivery times, either directly from KSB or through one of our distributors.”
